What does it mean to live with heartfelt presence? And how can we achieve this wholesome state of being?

With the month of August and the deep settling of summer upon us we thought what better time to remind us all about the importance of living presently as we stretch out the long sunny days and warm nights to make the most out of this time of year.

Living with heartfelt presence means living each day to the fullest by being present and truly experiencing every moment with intention, love and care. From the lens of Yoga and Ayurveda, this is achieved through a balanced approach to the mind, body and soul.

In the height of Pitta season, to avoid feeling overly irritated or frustrated, it is important to bring the elements of earth and water into your daily life to bring a sense of balance and calm to not only your body but also to your mind and emotions. These elements will bring balance through a more loving, kind and supportive approach to your day, allowing you to be more present and make the most out of these lazy days of summer.

Whether you’re spending your summer at the cottage, voyaging abroad or enjoying all that your own town has to offer, don’t let the summer pass you by without truly experiencing it. Take the time to slow down, connect inwards and invite the elements of earth and water in to calm your day. For instance, take an early morning walk in the woods to enjoy the quiet coolness of the trees or a late night swim to burn off the heat of the day.

We also welcomed a new moon this past weekend and our founder, Karen, hosted an intimate ceremony with friends on Friday to celebrate the occasion where she talked about similar themes because a new moon marks a time of introspection and represents new beginnings as we plant seeds for the future. It’s a good time to set clear intentions for the month ahead, clarify your goals, start new projects and acknowledge your growth since the previous moon.

And so, with the new moon having just passed, now is a great time to start or even re-start a practice of introspection and self-care to help cultivate balance in your mind, body and soul so you can live from a place of heartfelt presence and truly experience the remaining days of summer.

Over the coming month we will share more about how to live from a place of heartfelt presence via our Digital Discovery program. If you aren’t already a Digital Discovery member we welcome you to join now for free.
