To register for a class, session, workshops or special events, or to make a purchase, redeem a gift certificate or coupon, you must first register with us. When filling out our registration form you are required to give your contact information (such as name, street address, phone number and email address). Your registration information becomes part of your personal account, which you can access by accessing your client information in the Practice Better database. We intend to provide basic updates and information about upcoming events at Nourished Union via emails to registered students. We will at times use third-party services and platforms to automate our email program including an integration between our Practice Better database and MailChimp, facilitated by Zapier.  All students will be provided the opportunity to opt out of this service.

Nourished Union does not sell, has never sold, and does not intend to sell personal data about visitors or students to marketers.

Nourished Union may collect, for internal use, statistical information about your membership in order that we may better serve you better. This may include such information as the distribution of our membership by location, referral type, age, etc.
This statistical information may also be used, in the aggregate, as Nourished Union works to serve the mission of the organization. For example, we may wish to answer questions such as “What percentage of our students have been attending for more than one year?” and to collect demo-graphical data.

In order to better serve our students and visitors, Nourished Union also may survey our members and website visitors from time to time about their preferences and suggestions.

We do not disclose information about your individual visits to the Nourished Union website or personal membership information that you provide but choose not to display, such as your contact information or professional information, except when we believe the law requires it.

If we decide to change our privacy commitment for Nourished Union, we will post the changes here so that you will always know what information we gather, how we might use that information, and whether we will disclose it to anyone. If, at any time, you have questions or concerns about Nourished Union’s privacy commitment, please feel free to contact us.

For those looking for medical counsel – although the information, ideas and perspectives of our programs and content are based on Ayurvedic, Yoga and Western allopathic principles or studies (and even though in the case of Ayurveda and Yoga – such perspectives have been employed for thousands of years), no part of our content should be taken or construed as medical diagnosis or treatment. We are not nutritionists, dieticians or medical professionals. The information provided has been developed following research and is based on personal experience with nutrition, wellbeing, health coaching, Yoga and Ayurveda knowledge attained by Karen Brar through her many years of studies within the field of holistic wellness. As with any diet, exercise, supplementation or medication program – before you start, you should consult a healthcare professional and in particular, if you have a health concern of any kind,  it is recommended that you consult with your doctor or other medical professional. One significant component of Eastern medical philosophy is that each person has individual, unique needs, so no single recommendation, no matter how sound, is sound for every individual. For any medical condition or personal medical, herbal, dietary, or lifestyle advice, always consult with a health-care practitioner, directly.
